CJ’s from Cedar Rapids, Iowa played from 1995 -2018 . They were sponsored by Punch and Connie Vasquez who owned CJ’s Sports Bar & Grill. Danny Arenas and Jody Beltram with family and friends established the team at Kirkwood Complex. As they started to have success, eventually, Greg “Termite” Mara took them to the next level and became one of the best Iowa teams in history. Their first District title was in 2002 and from 2004 to 2017 their power, speed, and defense made them a dynasty. They won 6 Iowa State Titles in 2007, from 2011-2014 and 2017. In 2012 they went undefeated against all Iowa competitors and only lost 3 games that year to Chicago teams. At the national major level, they had 9 top 10 finishes, 5 top 5 finishes, a 4th in 2007 and 2011, and a 3rd in 2015 and 2016. Eight of their players are in the Iowa Hall of Fame.
