Introduced to softball by his Dad, along with his 3 brothers and friends played on the street corners using sewer covers as bases. Ron has played infield for over 40 years and has won over 30 league and tournament championships, playing in parks and on teams too many to list. Co-founded Icehouse in 1995 and finished 12-3 in the Pro League and finished 3rd in the Forest Park No Glove Nationals. With Jynx in 2000 they finished 3rd in Major Nationals and won a NSA Championship. On Hype when they won the Chicagoland Championship in 2007. He was also the starting shortstop on Crush while winning the SSA 50 and Over Nationals in 2018. Finished 2nd in 3 ASA “A” Nationals with Crush. Received the MVP award at the Claude Rhodes Invitational in 2012 with Vision. Also won the MVP of the NSA World Series in 2004 with Gatorade. Ron was also selected to NSA All World Team with Roadhouse in 2006, and 1st Team All Tournament at the SSA Eggs Czarnik “A” No Glove Nationals with Bankroll in 2021 at age 57.
