MORRIS SCHWARTZ

Morris has worked for the Chicago Park District and Chicago Board of Education. He is the oldest ISHA official in the state of Illinois at 67 years young…retirement is not an option…he is addicted. He has umpired significant tournaments and leagues including the Clarendon major league and Ed Kelly Tournaments and outstanding James Park event for a decade in Evanston. He also umpired in leagues in Niles,Glencoe, Lincolnwood, Glenview,
and Des Plaines. He has taught the rules, mechanics, positioning, and sportsmanship to fellow officials in a variety of sports. His spirit and support of others and passion for no-glove softball have earned this award. It will fit nicely between his Hall of Fame honors by the ISHA and the Chicago Public Schools he has already garnered.
