From batboy, to player, to coach, to sponsor to organizer for over 40 years. Matt’s love affair began in the late 70’s when he accompanied his father, Matt (HOF), to many of his games and eventually played with him on a very good Dago Park team. Then with ICE he won the Matt D1992 ASA Class A Nationals and then finished 3rd in the 1993 ASA Major Nationals. He formed the Snappers in 1995 and was able to play alongside my father and my brother Marty (HOF). Matt then played for a myriad of teams Crush, Mudville, Elite, Traffic, Donuts, Rogers Roofing and the 2010 Cardinal Fitness team finished 3rd in the ASA Class A Nationals. In 2017, Matt managed the Signature team that won the 2017 Chicagoland Championship, and 4 other major tournaments. He joined the SSA organization and Guaranteed Rate sponsors a yearly tournament. In 2020, he formed Bankroll to coach and play alongside his 3 boys and they won their Itasca League twice. Still active, in 2024 Matt manages and sponsors both Moneyline and Bankroll. Quite a gentleman like Mr. Holan.
