Anthony grew up in the shadows of the old Comiskey Park and there he found his passion for the game of 16 inch softball. The first team he played for was the Matador Pros. Shortly after his 14th birthday, he was asked to play with some of the older teams in the area. With the Kings he played tournaments and neighborhood leagues. Then moved on to play with the HOF team Unknown Wildbunch managed by the Hall of Famer James Holmes. His shortstop play was 2nd to none in the earliest stages of his career. With California Gold Anthony won several ASA National First Team and Second Team All – Tournament selections. He earned MVP selection in the Southwest Heritage Classic, as well as Washington Park Wednesday /Friday league. Anthony moved on to play for LA Posse in the late 1990’s. He hit above .500 throughout his entire softball career. Teams he also played for the Young Guns, Bustin Loose, Galdators, B-Athletics and Pharaohs. He’s currently on the coaching staff with the Pharaoh’s softball team and 2020 ASA National Championship team.
