JOHN “JD” DOSS

JD spent his life on teams trying to beat the best. It was more fun that way. JD has been on multiple teams that are very competitive. As a player, he won the A National MVP award and was selected as several Major All-Americans. He won an A National Championship, the Chicagoland Championship, and multiple final fours in Major tournaments. As a coach, JD spent most of his career with OBI. He won a Forest Park No Glove National Championship and was the runner-up twice. They also finished 3rd and 4th. With OBI, he won Westchester’s TOC twice. They also won two ASA Major Nationals. They were the runner-up at the North-South Tournament twice. JD coached his sons for one year, during which they advanced to the big stage of the No Gloves and went 1-2, beating the Dynasty (2014 No Glove champions). JD is currently coaching Circus, who are a top contender in today’s game. In 2023, they won the Westchester TOC and the 2025 Forest Park No Glove Nationals. His team has won over 450 games and lost 200.

As an organizer, JD has spent 17 years on the Forest Park Commissioner Board for the tournament. He also served on the Hall of Fame board for 3 years. The Forest Park resident is married to Karen, whom he credits for supporting him over the years, and has three sons.
